Just like any ground meat, BABz products are extremely diverse. There is no 'right' way to cook BABz--you're limited only to your imagination!
There are so many different applications, from crumbles on tacos and breakfast sausages to burgers, meatballs and even latkes!
Got a favourite ground meat dish? Go ahead and give it a try with one of our dry mixes!
Just add water, or?
We typically recommend adding 3/4 cup of warm water to one 10oz (300 g) package. But here's the thing. It doesn't have to be water. It could be wine, soup broth or any other liquid you feel will add that little extra something to your creation!
And our recommended 3/4 cup is a guideline too. Some prefer it a bit more dry while others a bit more moist. For best results just don't be overly stingy or generous on your liquids!
Mix it up really well and then let it sit for at least 10 minutes to let the dry mix absorb the liquid and activate the seasoning. You can even let it sit for up to 24 hours refrigerated to amp up both the taste and the texture!
Now let's get cookin'!
With BABz, you can cook them over medium heat in a fry pan for 7 to 10 minutes stirring frequently until they are browned and crumbled.
Or, lightly brush them with oil and grill them on your BBQ over a medium flame for 4 to 6 minutes to make sure they're heated through.
Or, roll them up into meatballs and bake them in your oven at 375 degrees for up to 20 minutes.
Or, take your patty, meatballs or crumble, lightly coat with oil and air fry at 400 degrees for 2 to 4 minutes.
